Arizona Board of Regents votes to increase tuition and fees at Arizona universities

Tuition is increasing again at the state’s three public universities. The Arizona Board of Regents met on Friday and approved tuition, fee and rates proposals for the next academic year. The vote comes as Arizona students continue to face higher costs to attend college.

Along with approving tuition growth rates for the next five years, board members considered each university proposal before voting. Arizona State University, for example, will see a 3% tuition hike for full time, in-state resident students at its main campus to about $11,300.

The state’s other two public universities, Northern Arizona University and University of Arizona, will see a similar 3% tuition increase for resident undergraduate students.

In addition to the tuition hikes, Arizona universities will have an increase in certain fees.
