Yavapai County will open its waitlist for Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers next week.
The Arizona Public Housing Authority will accept pre-applications online May 1 through 31. Applicants will then be selected for the active waitlist through a lottery system.
Voucher recipients must meet income requirements. Section 8 voucher holders pay a portion of their income toward rent, and the voucher covers the remainder.
Most Section 8 waitlists in Arizona are currently closed.
