Ecological groups say there are too many wild horses grazing on the Salt River

The Center for Biological Diversity and other ecological groups  are suing the U.S. Forest Service for failing to protect the Lower Salt River Recreation Area from hundreds of wild horses, which they say threaten the habitats of endangered species.

They say there are too many horses and they are overgrazing.

They made several requests to the judge including to rule that the forest service and Arizona violated administrative and environmental policy.
