Judge to hear arguments in May on Wendy Rogers injunction against reporter

A judge will hear arguments in May on whether to dissolve an injunction against an Arizona Capitol Times reporter sought by state Sen. Wendy Rogers.

It will be the first opportunity for reporter Camryn Sanchez’s lawyer to question Rogers about her allegations that Sanchez had been harassing her by going to two of the senator’s houses.

Flagstaff magistrate Amy Criddle imposed an injunction last week, barring Sanchez from going to her homes but did not extend it to other locations.

"I can't be sure that her purpose in trying to have communication with you went beyond what would be considered a legitimate purpose," Criddle said.

Rogers claims one home in Tempe and one in Chandler, and a mobile home in her legislative district in Flagstaff.
