Billionaire and namesake of ASU's social sciences school subject of child pornography investigation

South Dakota billionaire T. Denny Sanford has given untold amounts of money to children’s causes over the years and his name is on many institutions around the country. Here in Arizona, he’s the namesake of ASU’s School of Social and Family Dynamics.

But, a new investigation from ProPublica reveals that investigators discovered photos of nude children in an email account they say was associated with Sanford. This prompted the South Dakota Attorney General and then the Department of Justice to look into the businessman.

ProPublica fought for three years to get the records in the case unsealed and they were finally released last week.

The Show spoke with the reporter behind the story, Robert Faturechi.
