Shutting down COVID-19 testing, selling off equipment has been 'extremely hard' for Embry Health

During the pandemic, testing and vaccine sites for COVID-19 were everywhere, and, in the Valley, Embry Health was a big part of that. Their locations — both brick-and-mortar and mobile — were ubiquitous in our region as the demand for testing skyrocketed.

But now, COVID-19 is not a major concern in most of our lives anymore and testing is largely at home for those who need it. The Biden administration announced the public health emergency associated with the pandemic will end on May 11 — in less than two weeks.

And that means things look very different today for Embry Health. Last month, they announced they were selling off their massive supplies of everything from office supplies and medical equipment to traffic cones and RVs.

The Show spoke with Raymond Embry, CEO of Embry Health, to give more insight on the situation.
