The Arizona Senate on Wednesday voted to approve the federal funding Arizona’s Medicaid program needs to pay its bills.
On a 26-3 vote, senators approved a bill to allocate more than $3.25 billion to the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System, or AHCCCS. The House has already OK’d the measure.
For more on the vote, The Show spoke with state Senator TJ Shope, a Coolidge Republican and chair of the chamber’s Health and Human Services Committee.
