Arizona senators say millions are on the way to help migrant aid groups

Arizona Sens. Kyrsten Sinema and Mark Kelly say they’ve secured $45.4 million to pay for short-term help given to migrants released into the United States with a pending court case.

They say the money comes after urging the Biden administration to not let migrants be dropped on Arizona streets after Title 42 expulsions stop.

The controversial policy is scheduled to end next week.

So many families were released in Phoenix in recent years that a permanent temporary shelter was established.
