There was another mass shooting on Saturday. Eight people — including children — were shot and killed by a gunman at a suburban Dallas mall.
It wasn’t even the most deadly shooting this year in the Untied States. That was when 11 people were killed at a Lunar New Year celebration in Monterey, California, in January.
The debate over bolstering gun laws in the U.S. seems to be at a standstill and the legal avenues to get a gun are only one part of the conversation. Illegal guns proliferate in America, though there's little data that shows just how big the problem is.
