On Monday, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors chose a successor to fill the seat vacated by former state Sen. Raquel Terán.
Flavio Bravo, a Democratic House member, will represent Legislative District 26 in the Arizona Senate once sworn in.
Terán resigned last month to focus on her campaign for Arizona’s 3rd Congressional District.
Because Bravo is a sitting representative, District 26 leaders and county supervisors will have to repeat the process in selecting a replacement.
