Pinal County’s former elections director saw glaring errors before Election Day

New questions are being raised this week about Pinal County’s election results after the 2022 midterm elections — as well as Elections Director Virginia Ross.

In a new investigation for Votebeat, reporter Jen Fifield found that when the Pinal County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to certify the 2022 elections results on Nov. 21, it was despite numerous documented errors counting and tracking ballots and reconciling problems.

The errors were only made public during the statewide recount that happened in December of 2022 — which was triggered because the results in several races were so close.

Fifield joined The Show to talk more about it.
