Several Arizona politicians were in Hungary on Thursday to speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC’s, latest conference there.
Arizona Congressman Paul Gosar and failed gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake spoke alongside Hungary’s far right populist prime minister, Viktor Orbán, who has become something of a darling to the most extreme elements of the GOP.
At the conference, Orbán spoke out against LGBTQ rights and migration — favorite bogeymen to the far right flank of the Republican Party on this side of the globe.
The Show spoke with Wendy Via, president and co-founder of the Global Project Against Hate and Extremism, on how far Orbán’s extreme policies are getting here in the U.S.
