Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Horne is hosting about a dozen principals from across the state on Monday.
The educators were chosen because their schools have demonstrated long-term high achievement in student test scores.
Their schools have either consistently received an A grade or they've brought their school up to an A or B from a D or F.
Improving test scores has been a key talking point for Horne throughout his campaign and into his first few months in office.
He told KJZZ News that the Arizona Department of Education has its own ideas about how to improve scores statewide, but wants to hear from educators who’ve done it to see what worked best for them.
Horne plans to have more events like this throughout his term.
