Tempe City Manager Andrew Ching announced on Friday that he’s stepping down next month, after a decade in the role.
Ching is moving on to Paradise Valley, where he’s been hired as the town manager, pending council approval.
After working for Tempe in the early ’90s, Ching returned in 2006 to serve as city attorney. He became city manager in 2013.
Deputy manager Rosa Inchausti will take over in the interim as the Tempe council searches for Ching’s replacement.
