CDC still recommends COVID-19 booster for people 65 and older

The national and world emergencies for COVID-19 are no longer in effect, and cases are down in Arizona for the fourth straight week, according to the latest data from the Arizona Department of Health Services. 

But the virus does still pose a risk to millions of Americans. Late last month, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention approved another booster vaccine, recommending those 65 and older and those with weakened immune systems get the new jab. There is also some talk that we may be in store for a “summer surge” due to a new variant.

The Show spoke with Dr. Kiran Raman on the new booster.
