GOP AZ senator criticized for letter telling counties not to use voting machines

Democratic state Sen. Priya Sundareshan has criticized her GOP colleague after  he sent a letter to Arizona’s 15 counties, claiming there were dangers using electronic voting machines.

The letter is a nonbinding resolution that lacks force of law.

Sundareshan worries the letter could have far reaching impacts however.

"It does not have the force of law, but Senator Borrelli’s letter and the messaging that Senator Borrelli as well as many of his allies in the Legislature are talking about it as though it does," she said.

Sundareshan says Borrelli’s letter spreads conspiracy theories of election fraud and could undermine the rule of law.
