Novelist Daisy Alpert Florin explores the ignored nuance of the #MeToo movement

The novel "My Last Innocent Year" was published in 2023 but starts in a dorm room in the '90s. That scene involves two students who’ve been friends for a while, and their very different interpretations of what happened and why.

The book is very loosely based on the author’s experience, but she hasn't talked much about it until very recently. The book delves into the shades of gray in many #MeToo moments — especially before that phrase was coined.

Daisy Alpert Florin joined The Show to talk about her novel.
