Metro Phoenix residents should continue to pack that sunscreen and water as hot temperatures continue for the work week. The weather forecast shows sunny conditions as the month of June approaches.
Mark O’Malley is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service based in Phoenix.
“So at the end of May, our average temperature actually starts to reach right around 100 degrees so as we head towards the middle of the week, highs in the lower to middle 90s will be a little bit below the seasonal normal," O’Malley said.
Breezy conditions are expected. According to O’ Malley, there is no chance for rain this week.
A weak system is expected to usher in below normal temperatures for the region this week. Forecasted highs for SW AZ and SE CA are in the lower to middle 90s, with central AZ seeing similar temperatures by mid-week.
