Kevin Durant's lifetime Nike deal is a huge moment in sports and sneaker culture

Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant recently signed a lifetime contract with Nike. His latest sneaker model, KD16, is set to be released soon.

Durant first signed with Nike when he came into the NBA in 2007, and now he is one of a small handful of athletes to have lifetime deals with the company.

The Show talked more about this with Luis Torres, editor-in-chief of Nice Kicks, an online publication that focuses on sneaker culture and community.

The conversation began with the Durant deal and how significant — and unusual — that kind of agreement is, both for the athlete and the shoe company.
