Starbucks workers in Gilbert petition to unionize

Workers at the Higley and Baseline Starbucks location in Gilbert filed a petition with the National Labor Relations Board to unionize with Starbucks Workers United this week.

In a letterto Starbucks CEO Laxman Narasimhan, workers claim they faced “inconsistent scheduling” and “unsafe working conditions.”

The petition comes after the McQueen and Guadalupe Gilbert location successfully unionized in April.

The Arizona locations join over 300 Starbucks stores across the country that have unionized.
