Maricopa County supervisors appoint new LD26 state representative

The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors on Monday chose Quantá Crews to fill the vacant House seat in Legislative District 26.

Crews has never held public office before but serves as a precinct committeeman and Democratic organizer in LD26. Once sworn in, she’ll replace former Rep. Flavio Bravo, who left the House when he was appointed to the state Senate in early May.

Crews will serve out the remainder of Bravo’s term, through 2024.
