Journalists at the Arizona Republic are on the second day of their two-day walkout today. It’s part of a larger action at Gannett-owned newspapers across the country.

They’re protesting job cuts and other cost-cutting moves by the company, as well as calling for a change in leadership there.

To get a sense of the situation in print journalism right now and what the future may hold, The Show spoke to Jeff Timmermans, director of the Reynolds Center for Business Journalism at ASU.
