The newest member of the Arizona Legislature was sworn in on Wednesday.
Democrat Quanta Crews was appointed by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors on Monday to fill the House seat vacated by Flavio Bravo, who was appointed to the Senate.
Crews takes over the seat in Legislative District 26, representing west-central Phoenix.
"I will walk with integrity, I will always be honest and truthful, I will own my mistakes," said Crews.
Crews is a property appraiser who also serves as an ordained associate minister.
