Pima County animal shelter restricts the number of healthy pets it will accept

The Pima County Animal Center announced on Friday that it will continue to limit the number of healthy pets it will accept through June 16.

Earlier this month, the center restricted admissions due to a rise in animals with infectious diseases.

The extension came at the recommendation of PCAA's director of veterinary services.

The center will continue to accept emergency intakes, such as for pets in medical distress.
