Metro Phoenix residents will continue to experience unseasonably cooler weather for most of the work week.
Temperatures are expected to be in the 90s in the early part of this week.
“It’s pretty unusual to have temperatures in the low 90s for this time of year. Normally, we see highs in the 100 to 105 degree range," said Matt Salerno, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Phoenix.
Salerno says we could come close to hitting 110 degrees by next weekend, and monsoon season officially begins June 15.
The low temperature this morning was 73 degrees at Phoenix Sky Harbor. We have seen all but two days with below normal low temperatures so far this month. Below normal lows will continue through next week. Enjoy the cooler mornings! #azwx pic.twitter.com/BT06OsyOS6
