Oil companies warned Gov. Hobbs about rising gas prices months ago

Gas prices have been giving us all sticker shock for months now, and, with high inflation already bumping up prices on just about everything else, it’s been extra painful at the pump. 

Experts have told us gas is even more expensive here in the Valley for a lot of reasons, from pipelines to refinery shortages to the unique blend of fuel required in our state. 

But now, the Arizona Republic is out with an investigation that found oil companies had warned Arizona officials months ago that prices were going to get bad and they urged Gov. Katie Hobbs to do something about it.
