Valley Metro seeking input from west Phoenix residents on transit project

Valley Metro is seeking input from west Phoenix residents on a proposed high-capacity transit project that would involve light rail or buses. The proposed routes would go through the Maryvale area.

Juliana Vasquez-Keating is the public information officer for Valley Metro.

“Well, even though this process is in the early stages, community input is so important because they are the ones that are gonna be the most affected by it so those people living in the area, they’re gonna know the area the best," she said.

The first meeting takes place at the Desert West Community Center on June 27. A virtual meeting will take place the following day.
