Arizona’s Kris Mayes joined 22 other attorneys general in sending a letterto the National Telecommunications and Information Administration last week.
They recommended guidelines on artificial intelligence policies to protect trustworthy systems and guard against harm associated with using AI.
Those include taking a risk-based approach and using a variety of checks and balances to meet current federal requirements for transparency, plus data and privacy protections.
The group also proposed state attorneys general work with the federal government to act on smaller cases.
