A new report shows this winter’s rain and snow across the West helped with drought conditions, but did not alleviate them.
The data compiled by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the U.S. Agriculture Department and the Desert Research Institute focused on snow conditions throughout the season.
The most recently-released report was the last of the year, and it provided a summary and recap of the season as well as a look ahead to problematic drought areas going into the summer.
The Show spoke with Dan McEvoy, a climatologist at the Desert Research Institute and the Western Regional Climate Center in Reno, Nevada, about the key takeaways from this report.
