Rosa Inchausti is the first woman to serve as Tempe city manager

Tempe City Council recently confirmed Rosa Inchausti as city manager.

She is the first woman to serve in the role in Tempe history.

Members of the public supported Inchausti as the appointment process took place during a special meeting.

She succeeded Andrew Ching who stepped down from the position last month and became the town manager for Paradise Valley.

Six council members voted to confirm Inchausti with the sole dissenting vote coming from Randy Keating.
