How the monsoon affects the health of the ponderosa pines

Ponderosa pine trees are one of the more common species of tree in this part of the country. However, new research suggests exactly where those trees live, and how close they are to monsoon activity, could determine their future survival.

Brandon Strange is a research scientist at the University of Arizona and lead author of the new study. He joined The Show to talk more about how the trees' exact location affects their health.
