Passenger traffic at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport was up almost 10% in May compared to the same time last year.
Sky Harbor spokesperson Erick Moreno says 4.2 million travelers went through the airport, up from 3.8 million in May 2022.
He says the hub has seen steady gains in people coming through all year.
“The numbers say a lot, and in general we nearly see about 120,000 passengers a day, so that plus any other motivations or regional incentives that drives that travel, we're going to naturally see an increase in numbers," he said.
Moreno says airport travel is outpacing pre-pandemic levels.
