New podcast Thirst Gap meets the real people grappling with scarce Colorado River water

The seven Colorado River Basin states are trying to figure out how to use less water from the overallocated river. And the decisions they make could have major impacts for people living in the West.

Luke Runyon of KUNC in Colorado tells some of their stories in a six-part podcast series, called Thirst Gap. We’ll hear an episode each week over the next several weeks here on The Show.

But first, The Show spoke with Luke about the series and asked what the impetus for the project was.
