Man burning grass started Flat Fire north of Flagstaff, officials say

One person has been arrested in connection with a still burning fire in northern Arizona.

The arrested man was charged with reckless burning and violation of the county fire ban after grass trimmings he was scorching in a burn pit grew out of control on a windy day causing the Flat Fire.

The fire has burned more than 150 acres just north of the San Francisco Peaks.

It’s been burning all week and is about 30% contained.
