Arizona artist Patricia Sannit has enjoyed a storied career.
She began making ceramics as a young woman, studying under renowned potter Warren MacKenzie. She then worked in Jordan, excavating archaeological digs, before settling in the Valley.
Now, she’s the founder of local artist collective The Rocking S Art Ranch. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Sannit presented Roadside Attraction, a series of accessible outdoor galleries that showed work by more than 200 local artists.
More recently, she completed an artist residency in Iceland.
KJZZ spoke with Sannit about art in the Valley and beyond.
