New Scottsdale art exhibit explores how we communicate with each other

A new exhibit at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art delves into how we communicate with each other. "Language in Times of Miscommunication"  features 18 American artists who made their work between 2016 and this year.

Lauren O'Connell is curator of contemporary art at SMoCA. She says the show goes beyond media — the concept of fake news, or which cable news channel you prefer — and takes a philosophical look at how knowledge is formed.

The Show met with O'Connell at the museum to talk more about the exhibit and what she sees as the general theme of the show.
