This Thursday marks the 70th anniversary of the Korean Armistice, which effectively ended the Korean War.
Both the North and South will observe the day, but those ceremonies come amid rising tension on the peninsula — following recent North Korean missile launches, and the arrival of a U.S. nuclear submarine in South Korea for the first time in decades.
