Thirst Gap: As the reservoir shrinks, can Lake Powell recreation survive?

The seven Colorado River Basin states are trying to figure out how to use less water from the overallocated river. And the decisions they make could have major impacts for all of us living in the West.

Luke Runyon of KUNC in Colorado tells some of their stories in a six-part podcast series, called Thirst Gap. We’ll hear an episode each week over the next several weeks here on The Show.

Thursday brings you Episode 3, “ The Big Empty,” which looks at changes to recreation at the country’s second-biggest reservoir, Lake Powell.
