"Monday and Tuesday, we’re going with a forecast high of 108. So, still very hot but, yeah, hopefully we’ll be slightly below that 110 and then temperatures start to rebound again by late in the week and into next weekend," said Tom Frieders, a Phoenix-based meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
Frieders indicated there’s a good chance of showers and thunderstorms in the area through Tuesday night. He said strong winds and blowing dust are also likely.
