Another Democrat has joined a crowded primary in Congressional District 1.
Businessman Conor O’Callaghan announced his candidacy on Tuesday. He’s one of six Democrats vying for the opportunity to challenge Congressman David Schweikert, a Republican whose victory margins have consistently declined over the past few election cycles.
Five other Democrats have already announced their candidacies in CD1: State Rep. Amish Shah, Scottsdale orthodontist Andrew Horne, businessman Andrei Cherny, former journalist Marlene Galán Woods, and nonprofit executive Kurt Kroemer.
