Failed GOP secretary of state candidate Mark Finchem is dropping his bid to overturn the results for his race in the 2022 election.
In a brief filing, his attorney noted that appellate courts have so far rejected similar claims by Kari Lake in the governor's race and Abe Hamadeh in the race for attorney general.
They both claimed there were errors in how the election was run.
While Lake and Hamadeh are continuing their appeals, their losing margins were far less than that of Finchem. He lost to Secretary of State Adrian Fontes by more than 120,000 votes.
Finchem is not dropping his appeals on paying Fontes’s legal fees, as well as a penalty imposed by a trial judge for filing a "groundless" lawsuit.
