Phoenix's 110+ temperatures are back after short reprieve

Just when we thought we were out, the excessive heat in Phoenix is back.

Despite the recent cooler temperatures this week, Phoenix is looking to be back above 110 degrees, with a heat advisory active through Monday.

Sean Benedict is a lead meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Phoenix.

“There’s some uncertainty early next week. We actually get a little bit of an increase in moisture, which could have some effects on some of the temperatures. But there’s definitely potential for the excessive heat to continue through next week," said Benedict.

And if it continues as forecast, Phoenix has the chance to break daily high-temperature records almost every day.
