Is lab-grown meat the future of food?

The USDA recently gave its OK for two companies to sell lab-grown or cultivated chicken. Advocates say it’ll have several benefits, including for the environment, by reducing emissions. But not everyone is convinced that lab-grown meat will be a net environmental plus.

To help explain, The Show spoke with Max Graham about arguments made by proponents of cultivated meat, why they think it'll be good for the climate and environment and more. Graham is a food and agriculture fellow at Grist, a nonprofit media organization focusing on climate solutions.
