The extreme heat the Valley has seen so far this summer has been tough for the entire community, but it’s been more difficult to deal with for some residents than others.
The state health department reports more than 3,000 emergency room visits due to heat-related illnesses this year — that includes 181 already this month. Last year, there were nearly 3,300 ER visits because of heat-related illnesses.
The Show spoke more about it with Frank LoVecchio, an ER physician at Valleywise Health.
