The U.S. Air Force is moving on from the A-10 plane. How this impacts Davis-Monthan

The U.S. Air Force is finally decommissioning the A-10.

It’s been trying to move on from the decades-old planes for many years, but politicians and others in southern Arizona have worked to stop that from happening, as they worried about the impact it’d have on Davis-Monthan Air Force Base near Tucson. Instead, the base will now be getting new planes, including the OA-1K.

The Show spoke about the change and what it means for Davis-Monthan and the region with Jim Nintzel, a member of the Report for America Corps working as a government and political impact reporter for the online Tucson Sentinel.
