Jonathan Menjivar grew up in a working-class Latino family with divorced parents. He grew up, found a career in public radio and realized what class was all about.
The people he was working with weren’t like him in big and small ways, and it turned out, he liked the classy things he found in this media elite world: cashmere socks and nice restaurants and oysters.
