Maricopa County Democratic Party wants an investigation into mailers that were never sent

Officials with the Maricopa County Democratic Party have referred a controversy involving mailers from last year’s election to the Arizona Attorney General’s Office and the U.S. Postal Service.

The issue revolves around $24,000 the party spent to send the mailers in advance of last November’s election. The mailers were never sent, and subsequent investigations revealed allegations of cronyism among other problems.

The incident has already led to the resignations of the county party’s executive director and chair.

For more, The Show spoke with Jeremy Duda of Axios Phoenix, who has been reporting extensively on this story.
