Arizonans want changes to the way we choose election officials, ASU survey says

Arizonans appear interested in changes to the way the state chooses election officials, according to a new survey.

A majority of respondents believes offices like secretary of state and county recorders should run in nonpartisan races, rather than affiliated with a political party, as they do now.

That’s one of the findings of the report from Arizona State University's Center for an Independent and Sustainable Democracy.

The Show spoke to the center's co-director, Thom Reilly, about what the survey shows.
