Maricopa County saw record evictions during its hottest July ever

July was the hottest month on record in Arizona with 31 days straight of temperatures 110 degrees or higher.

At the same time, Jerod MacDonald-Evoy found there was a record number of evictions in Maricopa County. 

MacDonald-Evoy is a reporter for the Arizona Mirror and he found there were more than 7,000 eviction cases here in July — the most filed since 2008.
