ASU students are ready for it — the bad blood, cruel summers and love stories of Taylor Swift.
The Grammy-winning artist is the subject of a new advanced course this fall — "The Psychology of Taylor Swift."
Each week, Ph.D. student Alexandra Wormley will lead a nearly three-hour discussion of specific topics Swift has addressed in one of her albums, like 2017’s "Reputation."
“It’s all about her revenge,” Wormley said. “So we’ll talk about the psychology of revenge within the class. We’ll do a short lecture, and then students will discuss these things and talk about why it is that we actually seek revenge.”
Swift holds an honorary doctorate from New York University, so Wormley said she’s qualified to guest lecture and is welcome to visit her classroom any time.
